Mokveld presents low shear technology at SPE Virtual PWT Workshop

Mokveld will present a virtual workshop about our low shear Typhoon Valve System at the Produced Water Treatment and Management (Onshore and Offshore) Workshop organized by SPE in Malaysia and taking place from 26-28 April 2021.

The workshop by Kee Jun Kon titled High yield improvement of produced water quality without additional treatment  will take place on Tuesday, April 27 as part of the discussion about Produced Water Treatment from Aging Assets and Mature Fields. The full schedule of the workshops can be found here.

The traditional method of separating the phases from an emulsified oil/water stream is by adding heat to the fluid. With the implementation of the low shear Typhoon Valve System less heat input is required to separate the phases, reducing the loss of oil volume and API gravity. This is a simple and efficient solution to enhance oil-water separation and achieve compliance to corporate goals for a sustainable production of fossil fuels in an environmentally sound matter.
